Thomas the Train Trip to Duluth

The entire family packed up our things and headed to Duluth for a weekend of fun and adventure.

The main attraction for our trip was to see Thomas the Train, as well as Percy the Train at the Duluth Train Museum.

We had purchased tickets months in advance to be able to ride both trains, which consisted of approximately two 20-minute rides from the depot toward West Duluth, then forward toward Canal Park and Lake Superior, to then repeat the journey in reverse.

The kids had an absolute blast on the train ride!

There were other fun activities to be had at the museum, from musicians, magicians, sandboxes, bubbles, and food!

We completed our journey taking a look around some of the trains in the museum and stopping at the Thomas Toy Shop, where Bailey and Oliver each got to pick out an item, as well as a special suprise train set that Daddy bought for them.

The remaining part of our trip saw us exploring Canal Park, shopping, seeing Enger Tower, Hawks Ridge, and Seven-Bridges Road.  We also got a yummy breakfast at Uncle Loui’s Cafe the morning we left!

It was a busy but very fun trip for the whole family!

See the gallery linked below, as well as a video from our late-night stop at the lift-bridge that turned out quite funny!
